Now that I finally got the invitation to join I can give updates for myself.

As many of you know on monday 3/3 I had two interviews with two different companies. Company one was Extensis and the interview seemed to go well...all 3.5 hours of it. If you want to know what they do go to www.extensis.com. They are located right downtown Portland just south of Market street on 1st. They are a fairly small company with less than 100 employees but they are hiring quite a bit right now so they might break over 100.

Later I went to the Banfield pet hospital, this was a bit strange as a pet hospital is not exactly the first place you think of when you think of software jobs. They have hospitals all over and are trying to get to the point of being inside every single PetSmart that exists. The software they are developing is the software that these hospitals use to run the hospitals. They are located way out by the Airport (OK if your Alan and Mona I guess that's not way out there) so if I got the job the commute would not exactly be fun.

Tuesday or Wednesday I got a call from Banfield and they wanted to invite me back for a second round of interviews, so Thursday I went out again to meet with more of the team for about two hours. Once again the interview went well and I should know early next week if I got the job.

When I returned home I found two messages from Extensis. They both said effectively your inteviews went well and we would like you to talk to some other people (what 3.5 hours wasn't long enough?) So I am supposed to hear from them today about returning on Monday for a second round of interviews.

Unfortunately those are the extent of my active leads so as promising as they appear I would feel alot better if someone else would call for an interview. Now you are caught up with my job searching.
