Jared and Kayla are taking state asessment tests this week. Jared has been pretty stressed about the whole thing. Kayla is taking it all in stride. They are happy because when they have big tests like these they get a hot breakfast from me. I don't enjoy waking up a 5:40 a.m. to do it but hopefully it helps. They have 3 more days of tests next week.
Kent, Kayla and Jared are all doing the March of Dimes walk this morning. It is a 12 mile walk. The longest in the Puget Sound area. Hopefully it will not rain too much on them. Kayla is also meeting up with a friend there from Everett and then she is coming here to spend the night.
Allison had a couple of friends over last night. They have not caused too much of a disaster. They did spill some blue bubbles in Allison's room and of course, it won't come out of the carpet. They actually went to bed a reasonable hour and even slept in.
Kayla has started volunteering in a 2nd grade class at Dallin's school. She did come with me to do Dallin's class a couple of times but thought his teacher was too weird so she wanted to do another class. When we were leaving from her first day of doing it all these kids came up to her and hugged her and said good bye. I guess she made a good impression.
I have been fighting a cold all this week and wish that could report that I am feeling better but that would be not telling the truth. I'm sure it will be over in a few days. I took time off from exercising because I wasn't feeling great. I did go play raquetball yesterday. It was nice to do something physical after a break.
