I'm going to try to make an effort to keep us more involved with this. As Melissa mentioned Mona and I went down to Cannon Beach last Friday afternoon and spent the night in celbration of our 3rd anniversary. That was fun, although the weather could have been a little better. We're in that weird stage of the year when it can be sunny in the morning and storming by the afternoon.

Our big project lately is a "refresh" of our yard. I, of course, didn't think there was anything wrong with it but that just shows you how little I know about such things. Mona had a landscape designer come out and give us plan for what we should do with our yard. We got a pretty good deal on her services and I'll have to admit that the plan looks quite nice. Consequently, I'm doing a lot of yard work these days. I rented a sod cutter and cut out about 2,000 square feet of sod and finally got the last of it rolled up last night. There was a family in our ward who was ready to put some sod down and so they came and got some of ours. It kind of brings home how big the yard is when we can give them enough sod to do their back yard and it hardly looks like a dent out of our supply of rolls. I've been slowly working on a new deck at the same time and I'm trying to do it "right". When I tore down our old deck several of the posts were rotted and there was dry rot on the siding on the house in one place. Poor quality of construction. I've been offered a different job within the company and I'm feeling now like I'm going to take it. It has the chance for more money and doesn't require me moving to Fremont. It leans more towards a sales type of position and will give me a better handle on our retail customers.

Mona and I are both heading to the LA area next week, although we won't see eachother while we're down there.
