This past Sunday, after our regular church meetings, Cathy and Cal had us over for dinner with some of their grandkids. It was very nice not to cook on Mother's Day. Melissa's first Sunday in Primary was one less that desired, however, it can only get better from here on out. After dinner we took the kids on a drive to wind them down before bedtime. We drove downtown Portland near the waterfront and took some new roads en route. We enjoyed talking to Mom's and a couple of sisters who happened to be hanging out with Mom's.

Kerry played volleyball Tuesday night-and had a great time. Ryan came down with something Wednesday and has been battling it ever since. It is a respritory thing...so we have been pretty mellow around here trying to help the little guy recoup. Kerry has been to a couple of missionary meetings and will enjoy working with the good people there.

Melissa has been working on painting Grandma's Office or Audrey's bedroom. It now is a nice white and lavender combination. We have only gotten the first coat on, paint takes longer to dry here in Aloha than it did in Dry Lehi. It is an amazing transformation already. Still organizing...

Kerry had an interview today with a company called Vesta. It is a contract position that could possibly work into something long term. The interview took a couple of hours and seemed to go well. Until that job is in hand, we are hesitant to get our hopes up too high. We have reached 7 months of unemployment today. It is pretty amazing when we think about the past 7 months all that has happened. Simply amazing that we are still surviving.
