HI everyone. We are back from our 2 week trip, although it was a 3 week trip for Kayla. Kayla went down for a week for EFY down at BYU. She had a great time and was ready for another week of it. We made her come back to the real world though. We spent a good amount of our first week with Debra and Richard. We had a good time catching up on their family news, playing game and doing a lot of shopping and movie watching in their theater. We got to see mom and Dean on Sunday night for the dessert night. Of course, we got to see Eric's family too. On Monday we got to see mom and Dean's new home and drag mom all over SLC going to see mostly church things. We saw the Testaments again and still cried through it.
The girls loved having the Debra hair salon open every morning so that they could have their hair done. Debra has a great way with hair.

We did have one bad incident. We went to watch Jacob play a baseball game in Orem. Dallin wanted to get a water bottle from the car. I gave him the keys and told him to make sure and not lock the keys in the car. Of course, that is exactly what happened. So, unfortunately we spent a good 2 hours trying to get the keys out of the car. Luckily mom had triple A and was able to rescue us.

On the fourth we had a picnic as mom had already said and then down to Aunt Jean's and Uncle Gordon's house. I had fun catching up with everyone.

On the fifth we went to Aspen Grove. Most of us were not that excited about returning but despite our pestimism we had a great time. On Saturday we sent the kids off to their groups and they learned their cheers for the week for their group. Jared asked what we did while they were in group. I told him that we had orientation. He groaned and said "You mean I never get out of groups". We had around 50 people there from our family. We had the exact same cabin that we had last time we were there. That was pretty amazing considering there are around 30 cabins.
On Sunday we had church outside in the ampitheater. It was really beautiful. I wish we could do that all the time. Our Sunday school teacher was Congressman Jeff Flake from Arizonia. We actually got to hear from him quite a bit. We had a fireside on Sunday night and the speaker was..................President Thomas S. Monson. We are so spoiled. Kayla asked to have a picture with him but, he said his security guys wouldn't let him. So, she got a handshake. President Monson just told stories of growing up for an hour. It was fun.
Well I think that is enough for today. I will write more later.
