We enjoyed a visit from Ann and the kids a week or so ago. We seem to manage to keep very busy even though I keep telling myself "we're at Grandma's house...it is supposed to feel like a vacation" - ha ha.

Kerry is getting his team at Vesta into shape. He has recommended a few changes that have improved the performance of their little department. This is a good thing. His contract was renewed early and we know he has a job at least until Oct 31. At that time we hope they renew through the end of the year when it would come time for them to bring him on as a regular. In the meantime, we try not to think too hard about "what if's" and are grateful for a job.

We had a lovely bout when we lost our entire computer system earlier this month. Kerry was able to save the majority of what we had before the hard drive was wiped clean. Things are up and running and we are back online.

The missionaries had transfers this month and we had them over for dinner. Kerry has been teaching the Gospel Essentials class quite a bit this past month and even managed to teach in Elder's Quorum. He is being put to good work.

Primary is getting ready for their annual program in Sacrament Mtg. Traditionally it is one of the 1st counselor's assignments to 'take care of it'. It just so happened that that responsiblity fell to the other counselor this year just for kicks. I am happy to assist wherever needed and I'm grateful not to have that going on. However, with the launching of the Faith in God program for the 8-11 year olds, I do have to worry about the training of the leaders and make sure that it is implemented correctly. We have finally received all of our materials and will have a special meeting for the parents, children, and leaders next month. So far so good. Working with the scouts on this has proven to be 'interesting'. Scouting as you probably all know is it's own little world. Our president is great and is such a good friend...she has such faith.

Audrey is getting ready to start Munchkin Melodies, a music class that explores a variety of elements of music, dance, and rhythm. I will be teaching preschool this fall rotating with a couple of other mom's who have young children and are 'teachers by occupation'. I was hesitant in committing for the entire year and with this group, I don't have to. So I am in the process of writting the curriculum (taken from 3 programs we have) for our little school that will commence in two weeks. Should be fun and interesting at the same time. I am so grateful for the year of preschool I taught before graduating at Utah State.

Ryan has been diagnosed with asthma - no surprise. His pediatrician has given him two new steroids to help open up his airways. He has had to have treatments 4 times a day. He is just about through this cycle and we are hoping to get the treatments down to one or two times a day. He has also found his two year old self. I'm not sure if his poor health disguised it but he is now a cute, curious little guy who is exploring the world around him faster than I can keep up with. He and Audrey both still take a good long nap and I have to admit it is nice to have those two hours to catch my breath.
