Well, the few of us that are holding online family counsel can congratulate ourselves that we are doing the right thing. As for the rest of you, you won't be reading this anyway so phhhht!
Cal and I went our separate ways (temporarily) when I went to Salt Lake and he took his grandkids camping to Seaside. I spent, I estimate, 15 hours in the FHL and about 5 hours out at Aunt Norma's working on family history stuff. I know I got a lot of stuff, now I have to figure out what and get it organized. This is also a reminder that Eric has now posted the biography of George Smith online at http://home.comcast.net/~cescrandall/ for anyone who is interested in seeing the biography in a new format. We did also add just a little more information in case anyone ever wants to use this as a fact resource. It was a fun visit with mom and Dean and all the other Utah crew. Two friends happened to be there as well so it was a wild time in mom's place. Cal had good weather down at the coast so his trip was a success as well. The kids seemed to have had a good time and Cal thought it was a good bonding experience. Right before we left, we were called in to see the temple president. He dropped the bombshell on us that we were being called to be the coordinators for our temple shift. We were WAY experienced for this calling given that we had been assistants for a whole 4 months. This has required a greater time commitment as now we have to do all the scheduling. I suspect with some practice this will get easier, but for now, it seems to take forever. We are going to Bend this week. I tried to work hard enough during the first of the month that I could take off for awhile and probably do the rest of my work on the road. It is supposed to be 84 degrees tomorrow, so hopefully we will enjoy a mostly sunny week. Cal was also called as an extraction worker, so he is finding plenty to do, which is good because he needs to keep out of trouble while I am at work. Dakota is hanging on. I thought she was fading yesterday, she didn't keep down her breakfast and she didn't seem to really feel very well. But she perked up later in the day and seems to be doing alright today. That's about all from our household. There's only the two of us so we don't have as much excitement in our family as those with more. But sometimes, boring is good. . . .
