Hi,
All is well in the Kerry Smith's household. Things are starting to 'settl....' um, let's say change. Not sure how 'settled' we can get just yet with the impending transitions coming fast upon us. Audrey's birthday party last week was a great great success - had I known it would go as well, we might have invited a couple more of her little friends. The fun activities we did get to: *Guess how many Mike n Ikes in a Jar -the # was 59, Parker guessed 53 *The Limbo w/ Mariachi Music - we got down to 3 inches off the floor *Pin the Curly tail on the Piggy - winner took the piggy (ha ha) *Spanish Word Games/ Chili Pepper Necklaces - kids loved them! *Mexican Jumping Beans/Sombrero Games (on the trampoline) *Pinata (Audrey knocked the head off immediatly - one girl liked it so much she took it home for a souvenier? very strange) We had to wrap the body in the rope and had few great rounds of kids smashing the little purple eyed kitty :) *Making Maracas for the singing 'Happy Birthday' - huge success *Angel food Cherry Cake in shape of a sombrero w/ sparklers topping it We ran out of time, amazingly and didn't get to make our Mexican Flags - but we had a great time! I do have to teach Audrey's preschool class this past week so those who came still got to do the flags during the cinco de mayo celebration. :) Dad and Evie popped by just as the party began - it was fun to see them mingling with 5 year olds. She was able to ride her new 2 wheel bike all the way to a friends with Kerry in tow keeping an eye on her. She has much to learn but is off to a great start. Ryan has been pretty good sharing all of her toys from her friends with her. They are great kids. It is weird having Kerry off to work now - it is amazing that I can get to the computer without having him on it all day :). We are happy he has found a good job. He's been a great help around these parts. It will take some time getting back into our routines. We went off to the coast for one last jaunt before the grind on Friday - it was gorgeous! Probably the # 1 day we've ever had on the beach since we moved here 13 months ago. Baby is alive and well (as far as we know). I go in for my Dr appointment tomorrow - I've missed due to mischeduling and too many Melissa Smith's in the system. So it has been about 6 weeks since our last visit. Not very good when we are quickly coming to 30 weeks! It is fun being pregnant the same time Mona is. Knowing that she has twice as much going on inside of her makes me count my blessings. This has not been an easy pregnancy by far, but it is getting better. In about 10 weeks I know I'll be just dandy. Well, take care ~
