Hi Everyone!
What an interesting past few weeks in the Smith Family it has been.

Kerry has survived a whole month of work for PGE - and I think he has actually enjoyed most of it. It helps having a great boss and a small team to work with. We miss having him around as much - but still make the most of the evenings and weekends we get him.

So, we are expecting for sure 'a girl'. I have had another ultra sound this past week. It revealed her gender (100%) which we already knew but didn't want to say until we had the scientific backing. Our little one is also making some leaps for science...she is already 4lbs at 7 mo's. This is unheard of. We are measuring 3-4 weeks earlier than our previous due date. So we are now due in a range of July 22-Aug 15. Fun fun fun. The Dr says to expect at least a 9-??lb baby - but who knows? Maybe she is just having an early growth spurt and will slow down like Ryan and Audrey - ha ha

We have pretty much decided that we are going to make the leap across the river to Washington. We will begin to move the first of August (so we can do it slowly-and depending on when baby arrives we'd rather still be close to the hospital avoiding a commute that Alan and Mona are so familiar with to St Vincents). My sister, Hillary, will be staying after their family's vacation to Portland the first 2 weeks of July to be here to help with the kids while I am in the hospital. She is also going to help us move as I will not be quite 100% after delivery. She will be a great help!

We have decided to rent for a couple of months. This will enable Kerry to pass his probationary period (initial 6 mo's) with PGE, it will enable us to have more time to look for a home in Washington and make it a little more easier to do so while living there, it will allow for Audrey to attend kindergarten in Washington's great school districts, the commute is a little less for Kerry downtown where we are looking right now, also we hope to save up after such a long stretch of unemployment and use of any savings we had. Aside from all those reasons, it feels like the right direction for us to go. So, look out Washington, here we come.

We are heading off to the coast for our 6th anniversary. So, we will either update here or at our homepage soon.
Much love ~ the Kerry Smith's
