So we spent the day at Doenbecher's Children's hospital yesterday (May 24th) with Ashlynn. She did great. I was impressed that she sat pretty well through a long detailed echocardiogram without much problem. After she did her echo, we grabbed some lunch and then had a sit down with the director of cardiology over there. Ashlynn looks great. The hole that Dr King at Emmanual Hospital diagnosed 7 months ago has closed up.
The specialist at Doenbecher's wonders that Ashlynn wasn't misdiagnosed. She still has a pretty good little murmur, however it is because she has pulmonary stenosis of the heart. She has a mild condition of this. We aren't too concerned. As she ages they will check her in 12 months to see the valve. If it happens to be too small they would send a balloon up in there to widen it. If that didn't work then surgery...but we should pretty much be in the clear! :) We are VERY happy to heart that. Hugs from the Washougaliens
