Greetings from Washougal ~ We're happy to hear Cathy had a nice birthday celebration. As we were celebrating our 7th or is it 8th anniversary that same day we had hoped you had some birthday fun (sorry, Gerit You were to be six not sicks on that day). We did enjoy getting together with Cathy and Cal a few days earlier and :) we hardly get anytime to practice on our ping pong skills - you better return soon.

It has been a busy couple of weeks here. Kerry and Ryan attended their first Father and Son's outing. Ryan later called me as they were coming home on the cell phone and told me his favorite part was the huge rock he saw - o k? That same night they were bonding in the great outdoors under the stars, Audrey successfully painted all of my finger and toenails and few digits as well. They are still a shimmery purple and she assured me that the kids in Kindergarten would agree I was the coolest mom. We enjoyed Ben&Jerry's over watching Neverland.

Last week was the Daddy-Daughter night for my Activity Day girls- which was a huge success. When the orchestrating of that event was over, the next night I had the priviledge of teaching a communication class to the sisters in our ward for Enrichment Night. By Friday, I was ready for a good book - and thanks to Shannon's mom way out in Tennessee- one arrived in the mail - which by the way, Shannon, I finished in a day or so (it was a good read) and will be happy to send it along. :) A couple of sisters in the ward and I have started a new bookclub here and we are excited for that to begin in a few days.

This week we is Audrey's last day of school. She will be leaving Kindergarten - I guess she passed :) Tomorrow we plan on having some very good friends over for you guessed, ping pong, and FHE. Audrey is participating in a Hoe Down as we jump into summer vacation.

We were glad to talk to Dean yesterday as well as Mom regarding all the filters and etc. We were able to have a successful fast today and just want you to know how much we love and miss yous all!

P.S. Just a thought in response to Cathy's most recent post regarding the family get-togethers - I think we should just eliminate the Fourth of July as one of the general yearly events. We are usually in Idaho/or out of town on this holiday...it has been this way every year since our marriage. I know Alan (and his family) does an annual thing usually with his buddies on that holiday as well. Anyway, just a thought. In exchange we could celebrate a weird holiday like - National Popcorn Day in exchange if we needed another holiday that everyone would frequent for years to come?
