Mom and I visited the financially troubled Oregon Gardens last Monday, and I forgot to take a camera, so will just have to imagine mom in these photos. I'm glad the Gardens managed to stay afloat (albeit in red ink) long enough for mom to finally receive her 2002 Mother's Day gift.

And finally, this note from the Alan Smith family: Alan and Mona returned from Brazil fluent in Portugese (just kidding). Actually, Alan says that English is spoken most everywhere. According to Alan, the trip involved too much work and too little play, although they found time to go to Sugarloaf in Rio and ran into someone from Beaverton there.

Alan got a promotion, which is allegedly supposed to cut down on his travel-just as soon as they hire and train the three people that are taking over his old job.

Remember, anyone can contribute to the blog and again, if you don't do it, I will (insert maniacal laughter here).
