Any excuse for a dinner out! Richard came for a short visit and some of the family got together at Stanfords. The food and company were good! Ann's family is starting to warm up: it's only March but they'll have to start up the air conditioning pretty soon. Dallin is doing well with his viola and has been invited to play with some special groups. Ann is easing into her calling as Enrichment Counselor while she tries to figure out who all the people are in her ward. She'll have her first Enrichment meeting soon. I guess everyone has heard the big news from the Kerry Smith family. Poor Melissa, we should keep her in our prayers until she gets over being sick all the time. Dad and Evie are short timers on the mainland--they'll be leaving for Hawaii on the 15th. Jeff will follow pretty soon and perhaps we'll get a report from him next month on his trip. We went over and watched the video from their recent Sout America trip, which brought back some memories for me because I had been to several of the places they went, either on the trip at the end of Eric's mission or on the Antarctic trip. Dean still has his beard as you can barely see in the picture above and he's staying healthy--I still have to wonder about some connection there...... The person in the picture that some of you may not recognize is Cal's grandson Michael. He has been staying with us for just over a week and may be with us another week or two. Here's a recent message from Jacob: Sorry it's a bit late for all the February birthdays: dear cathy, hows it goin. things here are still goin great. teaching some incredible people. usually when all of us missionaries get together we keep it under control. we have a really strict mission president and some really obedient elders here. i know all missionaries all over the world say this but we have the best mission in the world. ya i remember all of those feb b days. i need to remember to tell aaron and my dad happy b day. let all of the family know i want to wish all the feb people a happy b day. im so grateful to be out here and its an incredible experience. its the best decision i have ever made. thanks for all the support . love elder peden So if you don't see your family's news here, that means you didn't tell me, I didn't write it down or forgot, or you have no news! You can always post for yourself so we all know what's going on with your family.
